Biography

Gina Rodriguez is an award-winning actress, producer, director, and humanitarian, best known for her leading role as Jane in The CW comedy-drama series “Jane The Virgin,” for which she has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, winning for Best Comedic Actress in 2015. Gina recently appeared in 2018 sci-fi film “Annihilation” opposite Natalie Portman, and 2017 Oscar nominated animated films “The Star” and “Ferdinand.” Gina’s upcoming projects include films “Miss Bala” and “Someone Great,” and the Netflix animated series “Carmen Sandiego.” Gina’s breakthrough film role was 2012 independent musical-drama film “Filly Brown.” Her other film credits include “California Winter,” “Enter the Dangerous Mind,” “Sleeping with the Fishes,” “Sticky Notes,” and 2016 disaster film “Deep Water Horizon” opposite Mark Walberg.
