Stay Standing: How to Beat Stress and Survive Any Change
You want people to stay focused, optimistic and forward moving despite disruption. You need to trust that your presenter has the clinical skills to work with people in trauma and to some extent, grieving. OUR GOALS: 1. Through survey and interview, identify current mood, activities and needs. 2. Identify the five basic change reactions and through self-administered quiz, understand one’s own and others’ reaction styles. This step increases understanding and empathy, and provides the base for a recovery roadmap. 3. Practice the same skills that successful change adaptors use to stay focused and optimistic, no-matter-what. Gauge and balance energy output, avoid burnout. 4. How to look for opportunities and possibilities in any situation. How to harness the mind onto the present, and move from “what-if” worry to a “what-is” and “what-now” action plan. 5. Develop group agreement on a common language and mindset that studies show keep a group moving forward. 6. Develop a Master Grid Plan that will lead to productive, high-value action. Starting from a new end vision or desired post-pandemic future state, work backwards into short -term goals and devise action plans that are scheduled on a daily basis.
