Biography

Kelley O’Hara is one of the most versatile and accomplished players in soccer history. A fierce competitor and vocal leader, she played 14 years with the U.S. Women’s National Team, earning 100 caps and becoming one of just 10 women named to four World Cup rosters. She was instrumental in both the 2015 and 2019 World Cup victories, scoring the game-clinching goal in the 2015 semifinal and playing a key role in 2019, earning a spot on the FIFA FIFPro Women’s World 11. At the 2012 Olympics, she played every minute of the U.S. team’s gold medal-winning campaign. Beyond the international stage, O’Hara’s club career saw her win two NWSL Championships — one in 2021 with the Washington Spirit, where she delivered the game-winning goal in stoppage time, and another in 2023 with Gotham FC, helping lead the team from last place to champions in just a year. Since retiring in 2024, O’Hara has transitioned to life after soccer, bringing her insight and passion to Just Women’s Sports as the host of Sports Are Fun! and Kelley on the Street.
