Biography
Tim Decker is a nationally touring performance speed painter who paints celebrity and patriotic portraits live in front of a crowd. Each painting takes roughly 4-7 minutes and the whole experience is set to music. He performs at corporate, charity and private events across the entire country. His shows are customizable and can include a painting to deliver a specified message or incorporate the client’s brand along with entertainment. Tim grew up in Brodheadsville, a small town in Eastern Pennsylvania and studied Media Communications at East Stroudsburg University. Decker never expressed much interest in art, only taking two art classes to fill his college schedule with less demanding classes. Then in 2009, Decker woke one morning after having a dream that would change the course of his life. Tim dreamed that he was speed painting on a beach boardwalk, though he had never heard of speed painting up until that point. He woke that morning, bought a gallon of paint, and painted his first portraitnone other than Mr.T! Thus began his journey. It was something that came naturally, as if it was what he was meant to do. Tim picked up two brushes, one in each hand, and began painting with them at the same time. It took no time to adjust, it was as if he had been painting his entire life. He quickly realized this was his passion and hasnt put the brushes down ever sense. He got his start performing at smaller festivals and from there has booked gigs around the world. He is now performing for some of the top companies and charities in the country including Mercedes Benz, Chick-fil-A, Merrill Lynch, and Porsche to name a few.
